Goa Yoga Retreat

with Cobi & Clare

19th Jan 2025 to 26th Jan 2025 in Goa (1 week)

We are SO excited to be able to add the blissful retreat centre of Ashiyana, nestled in the unspoilt northern region of Goa, to our schedule!

At Ashiyana you’ll quickly feel the layers of stress drop away as you settle into the tranquil, natural surroundings.

Ashiyana’s serene ambiance is set in private, lush tropical gardens, yet it is only a stone’s throw away from the beautiful white sands of Mandrem Beach, where you can look out and swim in the sparkling Arabian Sea. It is the ultimate spot to salute the sun, whilst the sea breeze keeps you comfortable even in tropical temperatures.

At Ashiyana, you will always be able to find a perfect, shady spot amongst the abundant flora and fauna for reading, relaxing and contemplating; or walk over the river on the iconic Ashiyana bridge to the vast expanse of beaches and discover the cool, little bars and boutiques fronting the beach, and in the sleepy village of Mandrem.

A short taxi ride away is the exciting night markets and the lively town of Arambol.

Ashiyana offers a range of accommodation options to suit every budget and occupancy requirement. Each uniquely designed room features a private bathroom, a charming balcony, comfortable beds, ample storage space, fresh linen, and a refreshing ceiling fan. Many of the rooms also offer the flexibility of double or twin bed arrangements.

Ashiyana is famous for the food it serves! They offer a fusion of east and west including Indian, Nepalese and Thai specialities, as well as cold-pressed juices, raw food yumminess and to-die-for healthy desserts!

The Spa at Ashiyana is cocooned amidst lush flora, and is truly a sanctuary for the senses. It is a healing haven in the heart of the retreat centre with soothing fountain and holistic wellbeing experiences inspired by nature. The Spa has a ‘natural swimming pool’ (naturally self-cleaning with no chemicals), a hammam (steam room) and five treatment rooms. The verdant gardens around the pool offer beautiful spots for meditation and contemplation, with a gazebo and lily pond facing towards a majestic statue of Buddha.

About Us!

We met in 2019, while on a yoga retreat in Tenerife.

We instantly became kindred spirits as we shared our hearts, discovering that we were both navigating challenging life circumstances... who isn’t?!

Our friendship has blossomed and grown over the years as we have taught (separately and often together), we have been students and we have travelled far and wide to expand our knowledge and love for all things yoga! We are great believers in the incredible healing capabilities that yoga can bring.

Before we met, serendipitously we both did our yoga teacher training at this wonderful retreat centre, so it is very dear to our hearts!

We are beyond excited now to be going back as teachers!

We look forward to sharing our different, yet complementary teaching skills to ensure that each and every person on the retreat is able access the wide reaching tools of yoga, which in turn, can help you to feel replenished, balanced and whole in mind, body and soul.

We can’t wait to connect with you and share the techniques and tools that this beautiful practice of yoga brings, and lean in together to the very special Ashiyana magic!

How to get there?

You can fly direct to Goa from Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham or Belfast in around 9.5 hours. There are also several other one-stop services, which take longer but are sometimes cheaper. If travelling from the UK we suggest taking the overnight flight on Saturday 18th January, which will arrive in Goa on the morning of 19th January.

There is one direct flight from the UK that works well with the dates of the retreat on Tui Airlines. Outbound, departing Gatwick on Saturday 18th January at 20:00, and arriving at Goa GOX International Airport at 10:25 on 19th January. Inbound, departing Goa GOX International Airport on Sunday 26th January at 12:55, arriving at Gatwick on the same day at 17:40.

Check-in at Ashiyana is from noon on the 19th January, and checkout is at 10:00 on the 26th January. It is about a one-hour taxi transfer from the airport. A complimentary mini-bus will be provided, but if you need to travel separately then a taxi costs approximately £30 each way.

You will need a tourist visa to travel to Goa, which are now easy to obtain via the online Indian e-visa service.

Rooms, Pricing & Bookings

Like many retreats, the majority of the rooms at Ashiyana are offered as sharing rooms. It’s a beautiful way to connect with like-minded souls and make meaningful friendships. If you’d like to share a room, we can pair you up with another guest of the same sex.

The majority of people come alone, but if you come with a friend or family member you will of course share a room with them.

There are three types of room available:

Is this retreat for me?

YES!

Whether you are at the beginning of your yoga journey or are a seasoned practitioner, we feel confident that our varied yet complimentary teaching styles will enable you to access and get what you need from each of the daily practices. All that we require is that you come with an open mind and an open heart!

We will always offer variations and modifications within the practices.

We think one of the most beautiful things about our retreats is that a wonderful group of yogis (and curious non-yogis) come together, in a safe and inspiring setting, as they step away from their day to day with an incredible leap of faith and a trust that something magical might happen. It always does!

The vast majority of our retreat yogis travel alone, but we have also had many couples and various family member or friend combinations come together.

We often have guests who have met on a previous retreat and come back together on another retreat as friends. It really is beautiful. Do please come and join us, we would love to have you there!

Love & Light,

Cobi & Clare xx
