200hr Yoga Teacher Training (4 week intensive)
2 - 30 August 2020
So much more than a training
We are internationally recognised for our unique approach to both Yoga and how it is taught. We believe that Yoga is a journey of self-discovery, and it is this journey that informs your teaching. We invite you to courageously look inwards, in order that you can best express yourself outwardly.
The course will encourage you to find your own unique voice and way of teaching, whilst inspiring you to discover and align with your life purpose. Our intention is to empower you to be authentically yourself, becoming evermore grounded, confident and compassionate.
This deeply experiential training is so much more than just about becoming a teacher.

Our course covers the four principle paths of yoga – Hatha (Raja), Jnana, Bhakti, and Karma.
We place great importance on creating a loving, nurturing and safe space for a class. The sequence that we use as a framework, covers breath awareness and techniques (Pranayama), warming up the body (Pawanmuktasana), seed sun salutations, appropriate sequencing of postures, and then relaxation (Savasana) and meditation.
All that we teach is meant to guide you in learning postures and techniques safely and correctly, which informs your self practice, and therefore becomes the backbone of your teaching. We will encourage you to be creative and explore your way of teaching.
We will delve into the traditional interpretation of yoga according to Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga, but this will be complemented by a more modern perspective on Yoga and life in general.
We intend to challenge, inspire and empower you, so that you develop your own vision of what Yoga means for you in today’s world.
There will be a variety of ways in which we will encourage and support you in learning, including large and small sharing circles. There will also be significant opportunities to practice silence, solitude, and meditation - which we believe to be one of the most potent parts of the course.
There will be ongoing homework and assessment, including written, verbal and practical. The main exams are in Anatomy (week 2), Philosophy (week 3), asana test and 1 hour taught class (week 4).
Given that we’re in Brazil (in one of the most auspicious and magical locations) we will include various rituals and ceremonies such as – cacao, fireside musical soirees, meditations in the surrounding riverside locations, and one or two surprises, including ‘giving back’ to the local community.
Our training is about holding you in a loving and nurturing embrace, and therefore Bhakti Yoga (the path of Love) permeates the entire four weeks of the course.
At the end of the training you will receive either a Teaching certificate (200hr Yoga Alliance certified) or an Attendance certificate, depending on your overall performance and attitude throughout the 4 weeks of training.
Who is this training for?
You may already be clear that you want to become a teacher, or perhaps you are simply seeking greater meaning from your Yoga.
